CEREBRO™: Real-time fan control

CEREBRO™ and Industry 4.0: Meeting the interconnection requirement for tax incentives
A ventilation system without continuous monitoring operates blindly. Filters progressively clog without anyone noticing until the pressure drops. The fan’s operating point shifts outside the stable zone of its characteristic curve, and the motor begins to overwork. The maintenance technician notices this when the current drawn is already above the threshold, or when the thermal cutout has already tripped. In the best case scenario, it’s an unplanned downtime. In the worst case, a failure in a unit that was supposed to last another ten years.
CEREBRO™ is the system that brings complete control of the system (pressure, filter status, fan curve, inverter parameters) directly to the maintenance technician’s phone or computer. In real time, from any location, without opening an electrical panel.

What does CEREBRO™ do?
CEREBRO™ is a control and monitoring software system developed for industrial ventilation systems that integrate frequency converters. It analyzes system data every second and intervenes (or alerts the operator) as soon as anything deviates from the norm. It operates via both LAN and 3G/4G connections, is compatible with all major operating systems and latest-generation hardware, and uses SSL encryption with a crash recovery infrastructure to ensure service continuity.
The main functions
Eolo System manages the variable speed of the industrial fan while maintaining a constant system pressure or temperature. It analyzes the operating point every second, reads the filter clogging status using triboelectric probes, and automatically adjusts acceleration using the StepHertz function, according to parameters that can be set directly by the operator. The control logic is predictive, it doesn’t wait for problems to arise, it prevents them.
eMI-Eolo Monitor Interface is the notification system. Every anomaly, from thermal tripping to exceeding the filter pressure threshold, is instantly decoded and communicated to the operator in clear language, not in technical codes from a manual. All components under its control can be viewed on the interface with real-time status updates.
AirFlow allows real-time verification of the fan’s characteristic curve and the system’s actual operating point. The system uses the curves provided by MZ Aspiratori, preloaded upon installation, and signals whether the fan is operating in the stable zone or approaching pumping conditions. If the operating point shifts, you know it before it becomes a failure.
Change parameters remotely without opening the dashboard
One of the most tangible safety features is the ability to modify the frequency converter’s parameters externally, without opening the electrical panel. Working on a live panel is one of the most common risks in industrial plant maintenance. CEREBRO™ eliminates this need for all routine adjustment operations:
- changing speed thresholds
- changing alarm parameters
- changing latency times for pneumatic filter cleaning
- configuring operator panels and external devices.
Changing the parameters of a frequency converter without having to open the panel door, risking working under voltage? Today, it’s possible. It’s not optional, it’s a concrete risk reduction for those who manage the system every day.
CEREBRO™ and the technical requirements for tax incentives
One of the fundamental requirements for qualifying a system as an Industry 4.0 capital asset (valid for both the tax credit period until June 30, 2026, and the new 2026 hyper-depreciation program) is interconnection with the company’s production management system. In practical terms, this means that the system must transmit process data and be remotely managed through an integrated interface with the company’s information systems.
CEREBRO™ enables precisely this interconnection. A ventilation system equipped with inverters and CEREBRO™, properly integrated with the company’s management systems, meets this requirement. Verification of complete qualification (which depends on the entire configuration and integration with existing system) is part of the technical consultancy we offer prior to any order.
FAQs and quick answers
CEREBRO™ is designed for systems incorporating MZ Aspiratori frequency converters. The AirFlow function requires pre-loading the specific fan curves. To verify compatibility with the system you are considering, contact us before purchasing.
Yes. CEREBRO™ works with both LAN and 3G/4G connections. If your local network isn’t available, you can access it remotely via a mobile data connection, either from your phone or computer.
Changes are made through an SSL-secured interface, on a crash-recovery infrastructure designed without a direct bridge to the end user. System security does not depend on connection continuity. All parameter changes are tracked in the system.
CEREBRO™ meets the requirements for interconnection and remote management, but Industry 4.0 requirements also include CNC or PLC control and integration with company information systems. Qualification depends on the entire system configuration, not a single component. We can assist you with a comprehensive review before ordering.
